    Boise’s Own Rebecca Hupp Named 2025–26 AAAE Chair: A Trailblazing Honor

     

    Boise, Idaho (June 11, 2025) – In a career-defining moment, Rebecca Hupp, A.A.E., Airport Director at Boise Airport, has officially stepped into her role as Chair of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) for 2025–2026—an esteemed position elected amid the AAAE’s 97th Annual Conference in Atlanta (held June 8–10).

    From Boise to the National Stage

    Since joining Boise Airport in April 2012, Hupp has overseen a dramatic doubling of passenger traffic, steering the airport’s transition to a medium hub in 2021  . Her leadership has also ushered in new nonstop routes, major infrastructure projects—including a $20 million airline maintenance facility—and enhancements to parking and airfield operations.

    Rebecca’s aviation journey spans across the country—from Bangor International in Maine to Aberdeen Regional in South Dakota, and various leadership roles at Kansas City Aviation—equipping her with strong industry acumen.
