There is nothing as breathtaking as the sparkle of the summer sun over one of Idaho’s premier fishing spots. Unless of course, it’s that same sunlight dancing off the back of a rainbow trout you just netted! As the river rushes past your waders and the wind whispers in the trees behind you, the documented and then released fish returns to the sparkling waters from which it came. What a beautiful sight, and one you will only find in Idaho.

While both benefited from Chris’s expertise and assistance, the lady landed the largest catch of the day: a 22” brown trout. Sometimes, Chris says, helping clients catch the fish and seeing their excitement is more rewarding than catching it himself.
A few years ago, Chris contemplated taking a steady office job in town. While he considered an offer, a guiding opportunity came up. One woman in that group landed a big fish and said, “It is so exciting to be out of the office for a day.” Chris realized that he was excited to be in his office! From that day, he knew he could never go sit in an office building. His workplace is the outdoors, and he loves to share it with others.
