    Delicious, guilt-free treats!

    by Veronica Le Master

As the weather continues to heat up, people are searching high and low for ways to cool down. At Fresh Healthy Café, located in downtown Boise, the options are endless (and healthy!). They offer many different types of smoothies, such as the Acai Mega Berry which has Pomegranate-blueberry juice, acai, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. If you’re looking for a refreshing low-calorie treat, you can try their new Cucumber Splash smoothie which has cucumber, coconut water, and pineapple.

The local shop also offers Squeezes, which is fresh fruit combined in a juicer, that makes for a healthy cold drink to enjoy. You can choose from popular combinations, such as the Fountain of Youth Squeeze that has apples and blueberries or strawberries, or you can create your own!

Owner Zaira Sutherland believes it’s important to choose healthy treats in the Summer over the traditional ice-cream and snow cones. “We need to be in shape for hiking and camping and other outdoor activities,” Sutherland said.

Enjoy Fresh Healthy Café from anywhere with Uber Eats, and if you’re in a 2-mile radius, they’ll personally deliver right to your door! Boise State students always get a 10% off discount, so don’t forget your student I.D.

Fresh Healthy Café can be found at 860 W Broad St and contacted at (208) 332-9800.
