The coronavirus pandemic that is sweeping the globe is an extraordinarily strange and challenging time. As we are shuttered in our homes, collectively concerned about our health, our finances and our neighbors, we are finding there are bright spots in this fundamental shift in how we relate to others and the world. On NextDoor, we saw someone venmo some money to a stranger who realized, while in the checkout line, they didn’t quite have enough money. Our belief that deep down the vast majority of us are good people, who want to do right by others, is being reinforced.”
