    Bright Spots of Boise

Nick CliffOrr, 26, RN working at St. Luke’s Boise Emergency Room

Household: We currently live with my in-laws, both over the age of 60, and three dogs while we save for a down payment on a house. We just returned from travel nursing in January and are expecting our first child mid-May.

Nick: “It has been special seeing the outpouring of positivity and support from the community for the hospital workers.”

Kat: “There is so much anticipation when you are expecting a child. This has been a reminder to let go of expectations of the future and to try to truly live in the moment. We just have to let go of the things we can’t control and appreciate how connected we all are.”

    Definition of a Bright Spot

According to Merriam Webster, the definition of a bright spot is a good thing that occurs during a bad or difficult time. The coronavirus pandemic that is sweeping the globe can indubitably be deemed an extraordinarily strange and challenging time.  As we are shuttered in our homes, collectively concerned about our health, our finances and our neighbors, we are finding there are bright spots in this fundamental shift in how we relate to others and the world.
