Each year Idaho fans are treated to a thrilling weekend at the Ford Idaho Center as PBR (Professional Bull Riders) bucks into Nampa. This weekend will follow that tradition as the world’s top bull riders go up against the most powerful animal athletes in the sport, this year with an added third day of competition for the first time since 2010.
With just six events remaining until PBR World Finals (May 9-19) in Fort Worth, Texas Idaho fans will see the ultimate level of competition unfold as the courageous cowboys pursue crucial points in the tight world title race, March 28-30 at the PBR Unleash The Beast Nampa.
To showcase the organization’s deep-rooted support of the local community, PBR will join the Air Force Reserve for a Thursday morning event at Emmett High School. In addition to PBR rider Conner Halverson and PBR Safety Man Jared Groene, one of the top animal athletes of the sport will be on site alongside representatives from the Air Force to educate students on careers in the armed forces as well as the western industry.
Then on Friday morning to officially commence the weekend, Mayor Kling will present a proclamation to PBR alongside Canyon County Sheriff Kieran Donahue welcoming PBR to town and honoring the sport’s longstanding partnership with the Man-Up Crusade and its efforts to shed light on Domestic Violence Awareness.
